This new session format is designed to enhance the learning experience for students. Senior scientists, who are also past recipients of the IADR Distinguished Scientist Award and/or past NSRG Mentor Awardees, will lead motivational and realistic discussions about the paths they took during their academic careers. There is a $20 fee to attend, and attendance will be limited. Assignments will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. If your two options are not available, a refund will be sent to you after the meeting. Refunds for cancellation will not be processed if requests are received after the pre-registration deadline. If you purchase your ticket in advance, your ticket will be included in your registration packet. Space permitting, tickets may be sold on site. To sign-up, register for the meeting now. Students who have already registered and wish to add a Meet a Mentor ticket to their registration can contact registration@aadronline.org for more information.

AADR Connect Sessions
Tuesday, March 20, 2012
3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel
Deadline for Requests: January 14, 2012

Complimentary meeting space can be provided for Scientific Groups, Networks, researchers, students and faculty registered for the AADR Annual Meeting to informally convene to discuss common topics of interest, discuss cross-disciplinary research projects, share information, foster mentor-mentee relationships, explore resources, and to “connect” on various topics. To recommend a topic and reserve a room, please email the Meetings Department. Mention “Connect” in the title of your request. Connect sessions/topics will be listed on the AADR Website and in the onsite program.

Space is limited and is available on a first-reserve basis. Priority will be given to the Scientific Groups and Networks, but individual registered delegates may also request rooms for a scientific topic.  As these rooms can only be made available on a complimentary basis due to the fact the AADR Annual Meeting is being held there, Connect Sessions are only open to registered delegates.  While the meeting room is complimentary, any audiovisual, food or beverage costs will be borne by the organizers.
