AADOCR/IADR William J. Gies Awards

This annual award recognizes the best papers published in the Journal of Dental Research for the period of July 1 through June 30 preceding the IADR General Session. One paper is selected in each category: Clinical, Biological, and Biomaterials & Bioengineering.

This award was established to provide national recognition for outstanding efforts to foster and promote research training and career development of students, trainees and junior faculty. It is intended to identify individuals at all levels of their career with an exemplary record of mentoring.

ADA/AADOCR Evidence-Based Dentistry Faculty and Practice Awards

The American Dental Association and the American Association for Dental, Oral and Craniofacial Research have established three awards (Accomplished Faculty, Mid-career Faculty and Practice) to acknowledge dental school faculty and/or a practitioner who have made significant contributions to implementing and advancing evidence-based dentistry (EBD).

AADOCR/IADR JDR COVER OF THE YEAR

Beginning in 2006, the Cover of the Year Award is voted on by the Publications Committee, who reviews the previous year’s Journal of Dental Research cover. The winning cover must be an aesthetically pleasing, scientifically novel image that enhances the impact of the article.

AADOCR Distinguished Scientist Award

This award is made to recognize and honor outstanding research of particular significance in any of the fields related to oral science. The award is presented every two years.

AADOCR Presidential Citation

The goal of the AADOCR Presidential Citation is to acknowledge an AADOCR member or members (up to 3/year), including individual members, Corporate and Institutional Section members, who by the assessment of the AADOCR President, have made significant contributions to the Association over a period of time, shown dedication to the Association; and have helped to further the mission of the AADOCR through their service and commitment.
