IADR/AADR Announce the JDR's 2017 Impact Factor Increase Thursday, June 28, 2018 0 3299 Alexandria, Va., USA – Today, the International and American Associations for Dental Research announced the Journal of Dental Research (JDR) holds its highest 2-Year Impact Factor in the “Dentistry, Oral Surgery & Medicine” category at 5.380. This is the first time the Journal’s Impact Factor has reached above 5 and marks a 13% increase from its 2016 Impact Factor. This news comes from the just released 2017 Journal Citation Reports® (Clarivate Analytics, 2018). The Impact Factor is a measure of the frequency with which the average article in a journal has been cited in a particular year and helps to evaluate a journal’s relative importance, especially when compared with others in the same field.
