IADR Announces Centennial Activities for 2020!

Alexandria, VA, USA – In 2020 the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) proudly celebrates its Centennial! The IADR announces a series of activities to honor 100 years of history, to celebrate the progress of oral health and to look ahead to the future of the dental, oral and craniofacial research.

  • The IADR Centennial will be celebrated at the 98th General Session & Exhibition of the IADR, held in conjunction with the 49th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Dental Research and the 44th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research, on March 18-21, in Washington, D.C., USA. 
  • The 2020 IADR/AADR/CADR General Session & Exhibition will include special IADR Centennial Plenary Sessions from 12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. These IADR Centennial Plenary Sessions will feature prominent researchers speaking on innovative topics that will impact the future of dental, oral and craniofacial research such as artificial intelligence, craniofacial genetics and closing the inequality gaps with global health care models and public policy.
  • General Session attendees can purchase tickets for the IADR Centennial Gala held on Friday, March 20, 2020 at the historic Library of Congress which includes a sit-down dinner, music from a live band, IADR Centennial programming and the opportunity to tour the Library's collection during the evening.
  • The winners of the IADR Centennial Emerging Leaders Award will also be announced during the Opening Ceremonies. Following the Opening Ceremonies, attendees can view an interactive IADR Centennial display during the Welcome Reception
  • The IADR Centennial is also being commemorated through the IADR Centennial website, www.iadr100.org, which highlights IADR's longstanding role as pioneers in the dental, oral and craniofacial research community. The website includes an interactive timeline and the Share Your Story webpage which features pictures, videos and stories from IADR members.
