Eligibility Criteria
IADR student members who are also members of the Cariology Research Group, presenting their research on any topic related to dental caries and/or dental erosion are eligible to apply. The prize is open for undergraduate or graduate students of any dental related discipline.

Application Process
The abstract must be submitted for presentation at the annual IADR General Session. The authors must select the CRG as that group to which the abstract should be submitted for review, and select the award from the list of IADR Scientific Group Awards showing that they wish to be considered for the award.

Review and Selection Process
Upon abstract acceptance, eligible abstracts that were scored as “Exceptional” or “Exceed Standards” by the CRG abstract reviewers will be selected for a final evaluation. The final evaluation will occur onsite, where the students (first authors) will be able to present their research for 2 appointed judges in a specific session. The judges will be invited among CRG active members without any conflict of interest with the presenter.

This award will be sponsored with funds from the CRG. The First Place recipient receives $1,000 and a certificate and Second Place recipient receives $500 and a certificate. Winners will be acknowledged during the CRG Business Meeting.

Award Coordinator
The Vice-president of the Cariology Group will be the award coordinator. Please address any queries to Rodrigo Giacaman. E-mail: giacaman@utalca.cl
