Journal of Dental Research
Get access to IADR’s flagship journal, the IADR/AADR Journal of Dental Research (JDR). The JDR is a multidisciplinary journal dedicated to the dissemination of new knowledge in all sciences relevant to dentistry and the oral cavity and associated structures in health and disease. All IADR members get online access to the JDR and a discounted rate for a print subscription.

The JDR ranks #3 in Impact Factor of 91 journals, #2 without self-citations, as well as #2 of 91 in Article Influence with a score of 1.627. The JDR’s 5-year Impact Factor remained above 5 for the fifth year at 5.844 — ranking #2 of 91 journals. With over 20,000 citations, the JDR also boasts the most citations in the “Dentistry, Oral Surgery & Medicine” category, over 3,500 citations above the 2nd ranked journal in the field.

JDR Clinical & Translational Research (JDR CTR)
The JDR Clinical & Translational Research  is a peer-reviewed, quarterly journal that is dedicated to publishing original research at the interface between discovery science and clinical application, with the translation of research into healthcare delivery systems at the individual patient, clinical practice and community levels.

Advances in Dental Research 
Advances in Dental Research, an e-supplement to the JDR, is a forum for detailed exploration and timely discussion of significant research developments in the sciences relevant to dentistry and to the chemistry, biology and function of the oral cavity in health and disease, including conference proceedings, workshops and symposia.


Global Research Update

The Global Research Update is a monthly newsletter designed to provide timely news to our members throughout the world. Many Divisions and Sections also have additional newsletters and communications for members at the local level.


Discounted Meeting Registration

Members receive significant discounts on the IADR General Session & Exhibition registration. Attendees can present their research, network with colleagues from around the world and hear the latest in dental, oral and craniofacial research. Divisions and Sections also conduct meetings at the local level. View upcoming meetings.


Membership Directory

An IADR membership includes access to a searchable membership directory which contains contact information (name, email, address, telephone number and fax number) for all IADR members throughout the world.


Scientific Group & Network Participation

IADR member and Retired member dues include membership in one of the 32 IADR Scientific Groups and Networks. IADR student members must join at least one Group/Network and may join up to a total of three Groups/Networks at no charge. IADR Affiliate Members are not eligible to join Groups/Networks. IADR Region, Division & Section Participation

IADR Members are grouped into Regions and within those Regions are local Divisions or Sections based on geographic location. Regions, Divisions and Sections promote IADR membership on a local level, hold many meetings during the IADR General Session and organize events throughout the year.


Career Center

Use the IADR Career Center to connect yourself with new employment opportunities by posting a job or searching for one. This resource also connects Universities, Dental Schools, Institutions and Corporations with our specialized niche.


IADR CE On Demand

The IADR CE On Demand library houses recordings of cutting-edge presentations from past IADR meetings. By watching and completing a brief quiz on each event, individuals may receive ADA CERP credit.


Volunteer and Leadership Opportunities

There are numerous opportunities to participate in the governance process of the IADR, whether as a committee member or chair, or in an elected position at the Division/Section or Group/Network level.


Awards and Fellowships

Through numerous sponsorships and donations, IADR is able to administer several awards and fellowships each year. These programs are excellent resources for further research development, as well as recognition of your work in the field.


Regional Development Program

The Regional Development Program is a yearly call for grants that is designed to promote and strengthen the oral health research infrastructure in developing regions throughout the world with the goal of increasing the regions ability to perform research effectively.


Adopt-a-Member Program

Members can include additional funds with their annual dues for the Adopt-a-Member program. These funds are used to support memberships for researchers in less developed or economically distressed countries around the world.
