IADR Orthodontics Research Group Travel Award

Each applicant must:

•    be a member of IADR and ORG
•    be first author/presenter on an abstract submitted to ORG for the IADR General Session & Exhibition
•    FOR NEW INVESTIGATORS: undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students, or investigators within 5 years after earning their highest degree (by the award deadline) 
•    FOR FACULTY MEMBERS: live in a low-to-upper-middle income country, as defined by the country’s Gross National Income (GNI) according to the World Bank Classification (by the award deadline)

You must submit an abstract for the General Session & Exhibition of the IADR by the abstract deadline date, adhering to the usual abstract submission process. In the awards section of the online abstract submission process select "ORG Travel Award.”

Participants in this award are not eligible to apply for any other ORG awards

All abstracts submitted for the IADR General Session & Exhibition are subject to peer review within the scientific groups of the IADR. Applicants to the ORG Travel Award will be reviewed by a committee of ORG officers who will select the winners.  Selection is based on originality, scientific rigor, and potential impact on global oral health. The award is accompanied by a cash prize and a certificate.

In 2024, three awards will be granted. The winners of the awards will receive $500USD for expenses to attend the IADR General Session & Exhibition.
