IADR PRG the Procter and Gamble Award for Prevention of Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases

•    Must be a member of the IADR and PRG 
•    Paper must be published within the last two years prior to the submission for the award, in a journal with an official impact factor (JCR)
•    Paper must present innovation with regards to prevention of periodontal and peri-implant diseases
•    The nominee must be the first or last author of the paper. 
 

• The award committee will accept self-nominations or nominations by others. 
• The person submitting the application must indicate one first or last author for the submitted study.
• The paper must be accompanied by a brief letter describing why it is deemed worthy of the award. 
• Nominations should be emailed to the PRG Officer (Liran Levin liran.levin@usask.ca). 
   

• The committee chair will be Dr. Liran Levin and he will select and appoint 4 additional members to the judging panel. Additional members to the selection committee will be appointed at the discretion of the chair. 
• The main judging criteria will be relevance and importance of the research for improving the prevention of periodontal and peri-implant diseases.
• No panel member should have a conflict of interest in the participating projects.
• Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail up to two months following the deadline.
• The decision of the panel will be final and not open to appeal.
• The winner will be the proposal with the highest total rank score of the judges. 
•  The PRG reserves the right to withhold an award. 
   

• The award consists of a cash prize of US$2500 and a recognition plaque. 
• The award will be presented during the annual business meeting of the PRG at the IADR General Session & Exhibition.
• The recipient will receive the plaque and monetary award. 
• The recipient selected for the award should be present at the appropriate IADR General Session to accept the award. If this is not possible, someone should be designated to accept the award on their behalf.
