IADR Salivary Research Award

• The program is targeted at dental and non-dental students (undergraduate and graduate), as well as dentists involved in research and other dental scientists.
• All applicants must be over 18 years of age and be a member of the IADR.
• Applicants do not have to be members of the IADR Salivary Research Group (SRG).
• Submitted abstracts must follow the IADR submission process for abstract submissions to the general session.
• The abstracts must be within the Salivary Research area of study.
• Submitted abstracts must be no more than 300 words total and contain content under the following headings: introduction, methods, results and conclusion.
• The SRG program chair will confirm that the elements noted above are all included.
• If any of the noted pieces are missing, the entry will be disqualified.

To apply, you must first submit an abstract to the IADR General Session & Exhibition through the IADR Website. Simultaneously select the Salivary Research Award button.
Please following the abstract submission deadline as set by IADR.

Submitted abstracts follow the same timetable as all other IADR submitted abstracts for the IADR General Session & Exhibition and deadlines are posted on the IADR Website. Winners will be selected among eligible applicants whose abstract has been accepted under the normal IADR scientific review.

The awardees are determined by a committee of the officers of the SRG. Award winners will be notified via letter or email approximately two months after abstract submission.

Up to six awards will be given:

• 2 awards for the abstract of a dental student at $500
• 2 awards for the abstract of a PhD-student at $500
• 2 awards for the abstract of a post-doctoral fellow at $500

The awards are only granted if an abstract demonstrates sufficient merit. The awards are non-transferable.

Each awardee will present their scientific poster or give an oral presentation in a scheduled session (organized by the SRG program chair) at the IADR General Session & Exhibition.

The awards will be formally presented by the president of the SRG at the SRG business meeting during the IADR General Session & Exhibition.
