2026 IADR/AADOCR/CADR General Session Registration

• Online Registration Safety

  IADR/AADOCR/CADR General Session registration does not solicit. Tech-savvy scammers create fake reservations and websites that look legitimate. If you book through these sites, you run the risk of arriving and not having a registration and may jeopardize your personal information. Make sure you are starting from an iadr.org or my.iadr.org webpage when you begin registration. Never book from an email that does not come from an iadr.org email address. 

  Unless you have initiated the communication, please do not provide anyone with your personal information, especially your credit card number.

   

• Accompanying Persons Policy

  Accompanying persons are defined as non-dentists, non-researchers, and have never been IADR members who may be traveling with a meeting delegate. Accompanying persons cannot have interest in the meeting. 

  Accompanying persons wishes to attend your presentation, you must register them and pay the $100 fee as part of your own registration process. Onsite, they will receive a color-coded ribbon on site. The ribbon will admit an accompanying person for one day of the scientific meeting only and all social events.

  Meeting delegates' students, lab technicians, colleagues, past IADR members, co-authors, exhibitor personnel, dental product company employees, children 16 and under, etc., do not qualify as accompanying persons. Accompanying persons are not eligible to earn continuing education credits and will not receive a certificate of attendance for the meeting. 

  Accompanying person registration rate is $100 USD and admits for ONE DAY ONLY.

• Child Access to Sessions

  Child Access to Sessions
  Children 16 years of age or younger are allowed access to the exhibition hall ONLY during poster presentation/exhibition hours and must be always accompanied by an adult. Children 16 years of age or younger are not allowed access to oral session/symposium rooms. 

  IADR has childcare available onsite at the San Diego Convention Center for those families who have taken the required steps to register their child(ren) for the program prior to meeting dates.

  Children older than 16, who are not presenters in the scientific program, must have an appropriate accompanying person’s badge to enter the exhibition hall or an oral session/symposium room. For more information about adding an accompanying person badge to a registration please contact registration@iadr.org.  
   

Cancellation, Refund, and Substitution Policy

• Cancellation Policy

  All registrations are subject to the cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made using the online request form by the deadline date; telephone cancellations will NOT be accepted. Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events, or early departure. Refunds will be processed no later than 8 weeks after the meeting.

  Deadline Dates:
  Cancellations of registration filed through IADR (including Lunch & Learning Sessions, Hands-on Workshop, Symposia, and accompanying person registrations), made more than 21 days prior to the General Session date are subject to a $150 USD cancellation fee. 

  Cancellations made less than 21 days prior to the General Session are not eligible for a refund except for a visa denial. 

  If you are unable to attend the meeting because you were denied a visa, IADR will grant a refund less $150 USD cancellation fee requiring a copy of your visa rejection letter and proof that you applied for a visa no later than two weeks after abstract notification letters are sent (approximately December 18, 2025).

  Non-presenters are encouraged to apply for a visa as soon as possible, but also no later than two weeks after abstract notification letters are sent. If you meet these conditions, a refund will be issued less the cancellation fee above.

  Please note IADR will not issue refunds for additional fees paid for express shipping of invitation letters and/or Accompanying Person registration cancellation due to visa denial.

  Without exception, all valid requests for refunds, due to visa denial issues, must be received in writing no later than 10 days after the end of the meeting.

  In the event the in-person components of the meeting cannot be held, all registrations will be for virtual attendance and will not be eligible for a refund from IADR. 

  Refunds will be processed no later than 8 weeks after the meeting. Refunds of $30 or less will be treated as a contribution and will not be refunded. Refunds due to overpayment or changes to an existing registration (such as from non-member to member rates, member to student registration rate) will be subject to a $20 processing fee. No refunds of less than $100 will be issued by wire transfer. If a refund by wire transfer is requested, please contact the IADR Global Headquarters for additional information and fees. 

  Express shipping fees for invitation letters are non-refundable. 
   

• Refund Policy

• Substitution Policy

  IADR does not allow meeting registration substitutions. Registration fees may not be transferred to another person. Anyone unable to attend the meeting after having paid must cancel his/her registration. The new registrant(s) must then register separately and pay the appropriate registration fee. For presenter substitution, the same policy applies.

• Financial Disclaimer

  IADR reserves the right to review each registration for the appropriateness of the selected registration category and make any necessary corrections. For example, a full-time faculty member that chooses the Accompanying Person or Student rate will be corrected upon review. IADR reserves the right to charge his/her credit card the difference in registration fees. 

• Photo Release

  The IADR reserves the right to photograph, videotape, and otherwise capture events and participants of the 2026 IADR/AADOCR/CADR General Session & Exhibition for unrestricted, nonexclusive, perpetual use in all media and forms of communication whether now existing or hereafter developed. By attending the General Session, you acknowledge and agree that IADR may use such images and recordings without your written permission or paying you compensation, and you permanently release IADR, and their respective successors and assigns, from any and all claims and liability arising from or relating to the making and use of such images and recordings.

• Optional Registration Insurance

  To help protect your registration fee, should you request a refund outside of the parameters in the IADR Refund, Cancellation, and Substitution Policy, optional registration protection is available through Vertical Insure. This optional, third-party coverage can reimburse your registration fees if you are unable to participate due to a covered reason such as illness, injury, or transportation issues (please refer to the Vertical Insure reasons for policy details).

  
  Registration protection has no deductible, and the cost is just a small percentage of your total program fee. It offers peace of mind if unexpected issues prevent your participation.
