IADR Pediatric Oral Health Research Group Faculty Award

• Applicants are required to be members of the Pediatric Oral Health Research Group, at the time of application and receipt of the prize.  
• Applicants are required to submit evidence confirm eligibility for this award (e.g. evidence of completed degree and the education institution /hospital where faculty is appointed) at the time of abstract submission.
• Applicants can only apply under one category of the Pediatric Oral Health Research Group Awards.

The Award will be given on the basis of general excellence in research related to pediatric oral health as demonstrated by the abstract, and/or poster and/or oral presentation.

The POHR Group President will convene a judging panel comprising the current Executive Committee of the Pediatric Oral Health Research Group. This panel will evaluate applications and select finalists.

The second round of the competition will consist of a presentation session where each finalist will have an opportunity to discuss their research with the judges. Therefore, finalists are expected to be available for the presentation at the IADR General Session. The winner(s) will be announced in the Pediatric Oral Health Research Group business meeting or soon after the completion of the General Session. These finalists will be judged for the quality of the presentation and responses to questions.
In case of a tie in votes between two or more candidates, the President will convene a second judging panel comprising former members of the Executive Committee of the Pediatric Oral Health Research Group and continue to do so until one candidate has the majority of votes.

The Award will take the form of a certificate and a cash prize of US$1500.

Each applicant must be the primary author and be the presenter of an abstract accepted for presentation at the IADR General Session. The applicant must be pre-registered for the meeting by the IADR presenter pre-registration deadline.
Research submitted for presentation in the General Session & Exhibition of the IADR, will be eligible for consideration for the Pediatric Oral Health Research Faculty Award, provided it has not been published. When submitting the abstract, you must select the Pediatric Oral Health Research Group and the IADR Pediatric Oral Health Research Faculty Award
category must be selected.

The deadline for receipt of applications coincides with the IADR abstract submission deadline for the IADR General Session & Exhibition.

To attend (1) the IADR meeting in the year in which the Award is made and, (2) the Pediatric Oral Health Research Group annual business meeting.
