IADR Digital Dentistry Research Network Student Research Award

•    Applicants must be members of the IADR or have made bona fide application to join at the time of submission.
•    Accepted abstract to the IADR General Session in the field of digital dentistry.
•    Full-time or part-time University student.

Abstract must be submitted for presentation at the annual IADR General Session. The presenting author must select the Digital Dentistry Network as the group to which the abstract should be submitted for review and select the award from the list of IADR Group Awards showing that they wish to be considered for the award. All abstracts meeting the eligibility criteria outlined above may be entered into the competition.

The review will be based on the submitted abstract. The review process will consist of two steps –
-    A primary review by the assigned Digital Dentistry Research Abstract Lead Reviewers, who will incorporate suggestions by the Abstract Reviewers
-    Final review by the Award Committee. Abstracts submitted for the Digital Dentistry Research Network Student Research Award will be initially peer-reviewed by the Abstract Reviewers who will score them (according to the IADR Abstract rating scale) and make suggestions to the Lead Reviewers.
Only abstracts rated the score ‘1-Exceptional’ or ‘2- Exceeds Standards’ by at least one Abstract Reviewer will be further considered.
The Lead Reviewers will then select a maximum of five abstracts from their assigned section and forward these abstracts to the Award Committee. Members of the Award Committee will be chosen by the President of the Digital Dentistry Research of IADR and will consist of a minimum of three and a maximum of five present and/or past members of the Executive Committee.
The Award Committee will then select a maximum of three abstracts worthy of the Award based on academic merit, potential impact, how well/professional is the abstract presented as well as originality of the abstracts. Due to potential bias and conflict of interest, abstracts authored by members of the Executive Committee are not eligible to apply for the award.
The awardee(s) will be notified two weeks before the annual business meeting of the Digital Dentistry Research Network.
The Digital Dentistry Research Network of IADR reserves the right not to give any awards in the event no eligible entries are received or in case submissions are not of sufficient high standard as determined by the Award Committee.

Abstract Submission deadline as set by IADR.  Notification of result will be at the end of the IADR General session.
