IADR eOHN Young Investigator Award

• Applicants must be members of the IADR and be a member of the e-Oral Health Network (eOHN) by the abstract submission deadline.
• Applicants must be in a non-student position, i,e. not an under-graduate, or post-graduate student (master, PhD or equivalent).
• Applicants must be within 10 years of completing their last terminal degree (PhD, DDS, DMD, MD, etc.) at the time of the submission deadline.

• The presenting author must select the eOHN as the IADR Group/Network to which the abstract should be submitted for review and select the award IADR eOHN Young investigator Award from the list of IADR Scientific Group/Network Awards indicating that they wish to be considered for the award.
• The abstract must be presented at the annual IADR General Session. 
• Three finalists will be asked to submit a short video of 5 minutes maximum explaining their projects. 
   

• The review will be based on the scientific quality of the submitted abstract and the video explaining the project. A composite score from the abstract (50%) and the video (50%) will be used to rate the applicants and select the winner. 
• Abstract scoring: The abstracts will be peer-reviewed and scored according to the IADR Abstract rating scale from 1-9, where 1 is Exceptional. The review will be done by two reviewers from the IADR eOHN and the IADR eOHN Scientific Program Chair. 
  Video scoring: The video will be scored by two reviewers and the IADR eOHN Scientific Program Chair on a scale of 1-9, where 1 is Exceptional.
• One winner will be notified before the completion of the IADR General Session and their name will be listed on the eOHN Website. 
• The IADR eOHN reserves the right to withhold the award if no eligible entries are received or if the submissions are not of sufficiently high standard as determined by the Award Committee.
  
   

The deadline for submission of abstracts is the abstract submission deadline for the IADR General Session.

At the IADR General Session, one award of US$1000 and a certificate, will be presented to the winning candidate. The award will be announced at the annual business meeting of the eOHN at the IADR General Session.
