Dr Sonia Nath is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Adelaide Dental School, University of Adelaide, working within the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health. Dr Nath leads innovative work in oral microbiome with a particular focus on Oral Microbiome Transplantation (OMT) for the prevention and treatment of dental caries and periodontal disease. Dr Nath has over six years of experience partnering with Indigenous communities through culturally safe dental research, including leading dental care across regional and remote Australia. Her awards include the IADR Hatton Award (2024).
