AADOCR Advocacy Day – Registration Open!

Posted on  by Yehuda Sugarman

AADOCR is partnering with the Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (FNIDCR) and the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) for the 2023 Advocacy Day on March 29-30, 2023 in Washington, D.C.

The annual event brings together dental, oral, and craniofacial researchers, scientists, dental educators, students, patient advocates, and other oral health advocates for a day of meetings with influential federal lawmakers. Advocates will be calling on Congress to ensure sustained and adequate increases for federally funded research and oral health training programs.

With more than 80 new members being sworn into the 118th Congress, the GOP regaining control of the U.S. House and promising to drastically cut federal government spending, now is the time to make the case for dental, oral and craniofacial research.

Attendees will receive an online training on March 22 that will provide background information and talking points for their meetings with legislators on March 30. There will also be an in-person legislative briefing on March 29 featuring top agency officials and a keynote speaker from Congress.

There is no fee to attend, but registration is required by February 16. Register today or learn more about the event.
