Allan Radaic Named 2020 Recipient of IADR Academy of Osseointegration Innovation in Implant Sciences Award

Alexandria, Va., USA, May 6, 2020 – The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) announced Allan Radaic, University of California, San Francisco, USA, as the 2020 recipient of the IADR Academy of Osseointegration Innovation in Implant Sciences Award.

Radaic is a Biotechnologist with a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Campinas (Brazil). He is a Specialist in Molecular and Cell Biology and Nanotechnology. He is currently a Post Doctorate Fellow in the laboratory of Yvonne Kapila at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is currently working on the biological and mechanistic connections between oral microbiome dysbiosis and oral cancer.

“IADR is pleased that the Academy of Osseointegration is sponsoring this award for a tenth year,” said IADR President Paula Moynihan. “IADR thanks the Academy of Osseointegration for their continued support which allows dental, oral and craniofacial researchers to create innovative discoveries that can be applied in clinical practice and be used to enhance oral health and quality of life.”

Radaic will receive an award of up to $75,000 USD.

Due to the cancellation of the 2020 IADR/AADR/CADR General Session, the award was given locally.
