The 2-year Journal of Dental Research JIF climbed to 6.6, increasing its ranking to #5 of 165 journals in the “Dentistry, Oral Surgery & Medicine” category. The JDR 5-year JIF is now 7.8, ranked #5 of 165, with an Immediacy Index of 1.0, an article Influence score of 1.640, and an Eigenfactor of 0.01055. The JDR once again maintains its #1 rank in total citations, with a total of 26,196 in 2025.
In the same category, the JDR CTR 2-Year JIF is now 2.0, ranking it at #81 of 165. The JDR CTR 5-year JIF remained at 2.8, ranking it #55 out of 165, with an Immediacy Index of 0.4, an article Influence score of 0.586, and an Eigenfactor of 0.00114. The JDR CTR had 1,155 total citations in 2025.
The 2-year Journal Impact Factor™ is defined as the total citations made in the Journal Citation Reports™ (Clarivate™, 2025) year to items published in the previous two years, divided by the total number of citable items, (i.e., Articles and Reviews) published in the journal in the previous two years.The JCR year is the last complete year within that year’s JCR data set. For example, the JCR year for the 2026 release is 2025.
