Alexandria, VA, USA – The International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) has announced Xiaoxiao Cai as the 2025 recipient of the IADR Distinguished Scientist Isaac Schour Memorial Award. Cai, from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, was recognized during the Opening Ceremonies of the 103rd General Session of the IADR, which was held in conjunction with the IADR/Pan European Regional Congress on June 25-28, 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

Cai is a full professor at West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University. She received her D.D.S, M.D., and Ph.D. from Sichuan University in 2010. Funded through a generous endowment provided by Bernard G. Sarnat, a former graduate student of Isaac Schour, and Rhoda G. Sarnat through the Sarnat Family Foundation, the Isaac Schour Memorial Award consists of a monetary prize and plaque and recognizes outstanding scientific contributions in the anatomical sciences, including tissue engineering, tissue regeneration and stem cell research as it relates to the oral, dental, or craniofacial complex.
