United Nations Multi-Stakeholder Hearing as part of the preparatory process for the 2026 High-level meeting on HIV/AIDS
The President of the United Nations General Assembly convened an interactive multistakeholder hearing in preparation for the high-level meeting on HIV/AIDS. IADR participated in three panel discussions during the meeting and drafted three interventions, in collaboration with the FDI World Dental Federation, in response to these panels. IADR provided a verbal intervention that called on member states to integrate oral health and related indicators into community LED HIV and Primary Health care programs, engage oral health professionals, including researchers in national HIV services, planning, implementation and governance mechanisms, ensure policies that protect against discrimination and enable inclusive access, and invest in sustainable, data-driven community based delivery models.

United Nations Multistakeholder Hearing on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and the Promotion of Mental Health and Well-being
The President of the General Assembly convened an interactive multistakeholder hearing as part of the preparatory process for the fourth high-level meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and the promotion of mental health and well-being. The multistakeholder hearing served as platform for stakeholders to share their perspectives, experiences, and best practices while identifying challenges and proposing actionable solutions. IADR participated in two panel discussions during the meeting and drafted two interventions, in collaboration with the FDI World Dental Federation, in response to these panels. IADR provided a verbal intervention that called on Member States to deliver on their commitments to the WHO Global Oral Health Action Plan (GOHAP) and to use it as a powerful blueprint that can be used to embed oral health into universal health coverage and broader NCD strategies.

United Nations Multistakeholder Hearing on Universal Health Coverage
The President of the United Nations General Assembly convened a series of multi-stakeholder hearings in preparation of the General Assembly High-level Meetings on the Fight against Tuberculosis, Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response and Universal Health Coverage (UHC) - General Assembly, 77th session. IADR participated specifically in the UHC hearing as well as in a series of relevant side-meetings along with other stakeholders including civil society organizations, philanthropic foundations, academia, medical associations, the private sector and broader communities such as the NCD Alliance, UHC2030, and the Health Caribbean Coalition. During the UHC hearing, IADR provided a verbal intervention that emphasized that health systems can only be strengthened for UHC by including oral health care services and financing mechanisms that reimburse oral disease prevention and treatment.
