Overview
National Oral Health Research Strategies (NOHRS) are essential tools for guiding evidence-informed oral health policy, research investment, capacity building, and knowledge translation. While the World Health Organization's Global Strategy and Action Plan on Oral Health 2023–2030 (GSAPOH) calls for context-specific oral health research agendas, fewer than one in five countries currently have a formal national strategy.
This webinar brings together international leaders from IADR, WHO-aligned initiatives, Cochrane Oral Health, scholarly publishing, patient and community engagement groups, and regional networks to discuss the emerging Global NOHRS initiative. Speakers will review progress made since the launch of Canada's NOHRS and the Global NOHRS Workshop in Barcelona, while outlining a roadmap for continued global collaboration.
Attendees will learn how institutions, researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and patient partners can contribute to a global infrastructure supporting National Oral Health Research Strategies and WHO Strategic Objective 6.
